THE ORIGIN OF A LEGACY
The Sasga Yachts adventure dates back to 1978, when Juan Sastre Bernat founded Astilleros Menorca to build a range of cruisers based on the traditional llaüts.
In modest facilities, the company created the Menorquín Yachts and began its expansion in the international nautical sector with a safe and comfortable boat, with enormous stability and unusual equipment in this range of boats, with a classic and timeless image.

JUAN SASTRE FOUNDS MENORCA SHIPYARDS
In 1978, in a small facility in Mahón, Juan Sastre created a small range of cruisers, inspired by the elegance of the traditional fishing llaüt of the island. This inspiration, together with its design, has accompanied us for generations, evolving into the habitable and technologically advanced boats produced today.
1997
A RISKY BET
In 1997 the Menorquin Yachts were born, a risky bet on large lengths in a world of small boats. Thanks to its success, the shipyard began its expansion in the international nautical sector with a safe and comfortable boat, without losing the essence of its classic image.
2001
FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION
The shipyard becomes a family business and in 2001 the second generation of the Sastre family, with Jose Luis Sastre as general manager, takes the reins of the company starting a second expansion with 16 and 18m boats.
2010
SASGA YACHTS IS BORN
Menorquín by Sasga Yachts” is born as a personal project of José Luis Sastre, who chooses a Menorquín 42 as the first boat to build in the shipyard. For this new project, José Luis, decides to promote the fusion between tradition and technology, a great technological change that will exponentially improve the quality of the final boat. The Sasga Yachts, with an innovative design, offer a better comfort, habitability and stability; as well as more speed and efficiency.
